Solebury Police Chief Dominick Bellizzie this month issued Commendations of Merit to three officers who came to the aid of a woman who was threatening to jump off the Lumberville Foot Bridge into the Delaware River on New Year’s Day.

Solebury Township Police credited three officers — Officers Brendan Murphy and Patrick Dorsey, of the Solebury squad, and Cpl. Michael Johnson, of Plumstead — with aiding a woman who’d climbed over the railing of the Lumberville Foot Bridge on New Year’s Day.
